
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25, 1994) is a retired American artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian. She was captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" as well as the"Fierce Five," and the 2016 "Final Five," U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. She also won a gold team medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have back-to-back gold medals in this event. Raisman took home silver medals for the all-around individual and floor exercise. She is the third most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles with six Olympic medals.Raisman was also part of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships in floor exercise in 2011. She was also two-time champion of the national championships in floor exercise (2012 and 2015) as well as the reigning champion on the balance beam in 2012. She is also five times a medalist at the national championships for all-around (silver, bronze, 2010 2011, 2012, and 2012 and). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
