Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), was the daughter of Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. Her parents are of Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descendance. Linda was born in San Francisco Bay and grew to become the smallest of four kids. As a ten-year-old old, Linda was captivated by acting when she performed an instrumental role during her school's Christmas play. Then she began to appear in community and school theater. Linda went to Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. After she graduated Linda was forced to decide whether she wanted to move to New York or Los Angeles to study theatre. LA was her first choice. Linda was cast in her debut role in the TV show Bone Chillers (1996). Her first big break came when she was cast in Freaks and Geeks (1999). The show won her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series. She played Lindsay Weir, a decathlete student at the California University.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on 5 April 1989) is an English actor from England. She studied at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and started her career in the British television series Just William (2010). Cinderella (2015) was her first film following the time she portrayed the role of Lady Rose MacClare (2012-2015) in Downton Abbey which was a time-based drama. James continued to play the Countess Natasha Rostova in the television version of War & Peace (2016) as well as starring in various films. These included the action-packed film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) as well as The Dig (2021), and musicals Mamma Mia! and Here We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). Her character was nominated to win an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 for her portrayal of Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
