Antonia Lofaso's cuisine is an invitation to explore the possibilities within her. Her food elicits a curiosity that developed from stepping outside the suburbs of Long Island and into the multi-cultural environment in Los Angeles. Carnitas and Cavatellis within the same menu is her belief. Each of her dishes is infused with a unique perspective for the future while also reminiscing about the previous. Inspired by her Italian-American heritage Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 and was instantly well-received. Lofaso's rendition of old school Italian food is among the top restaurants in Los Angeles. Customers say that they would recommend Scopa as an essential neighborhood staple where Lofaso consistently provides food that is genuine and incredibly satisfying. Lofaso trained under some of the best chefs in the world and learned the latest methods, yet she was not scared to challenge her instincts. After quickly rising through the ranks and transforming several Los Angeles high-profile restaurants while cooperating with famous stars. In 2011, Lofaso partnered together with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. The Lofaso had found a home at Black Market. The partnership would allow for the creative freedom Lofaso desired. Black Market's intention is to not be constrained in any way. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Fast Delicious homemade Meals in the year 2012. This cookbook also tells about the struggles she faced as a mother of Xea and pursuing her studies in The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso believes that the motivation for her achievements comes from the heart of cooking and it's through this vein that she keeps her a firm finger on the pulse. With the Chefletics brand, she is changing the look of the industry, by creating clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as function.
