Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious songs that dealt with sexual identity and race with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was through the instrument of trumpet. Alongside classical music and jazz, the young Nora began studying hip-hop in her teens. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies in college even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. When she graduated, she started to concentrate on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. Other viral hits included the queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchecity tour. This song is directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. With musician and author as her credentials, she began looking for an actor for a third venture. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
